Hi Guys, and welcome back to the channel. Today I'm attending the Yamaha live day at Yamaha sycamore, where I'll be testing out the new Yamaha MT 09 SP 2023Yamaha YZF-R1. The Yamaha MT-10 (called FZ-10 in North America until 2017) [1] is a standard motorcycle made by Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha in their MT motorcycle series, [3] first sold in 2016. It was introduced at the 2015 EICMA in Milan, Italy. [7] It is the flagship member of the MT range from Yamaha. [8] The standard model MT-10 has an MSRP of $13,999, while the MT-10 SP gets Öhlins semi-active suspension front and rear, exclusive Liquid Metal/Raven paint, and braided stainless-steel brake lines The engine in the 890 Duke makes 115.5 PS and 92 Nm . On the other hand, the power and torque of MT-09 stand at 119 PS and 93 Nm respectively. KTM offers the 890 Duke in 1 colours whereas the Yamaha MT-09 comes in 3 colours. I would say go with the mt 09 sp and get a better seat and a tall windscrean, like the Puig touring windscreen. The xsr900 is nice, but it has the same meh suspension the fz 09 and mt 09 (non sp) has. If you weigh more than about 175 people say the suspension is a bit too squishy. The MT is softer sprung and lighter on its feet - for better and worse I might add, because it doesn’t quite have the stability of the Z900. The Kawasaki is definitely heavier, but it’s not a heavy bike to handle in any way. The Yamaha is ever so slightly quicker, but there’s not a lot in it. Yamaha has more features to offer, which are: - cruise control. -better suspension than standard hyper. -more torque and horsepower. -comes with better tires then hyper standard. -better quickshifter. -"Fuel Gauge" hyper doesn't have one. -wayyyyyy cheaper then ducati 12.500 € vs 15.000 € vs 950 SP 19.000 €. For the 2022 MT-09, Yamaha introduced a slew of changes to the engine chief of which would be larger displacement and Euro 5 compliance. As a result, aftermarket manufacturers have had to return If you insist on spending more, there’s an MT-10 SP for $16,899, with 2nd-gen Ohlins electronic suspension. But for me, the KYB stuff on the base bike is so dialed, and since it comes with cruise control (unlike the base MT-09), I don’t know that you need to spend the extra money.
